Anatomy of a Belly

Here's a post of the tracking of my gargantuan growth... man, I miss being a whole lot thinner!
6 Weeks (a few days after I first found out)

11 Weeks (a tiny bump!)

14 Weeks (starting to poke out)

17 Weeks (lookin' droopy)

18.5 Weeks (Does this make me look fat?!)

20 Weeks (The halfway point!)

29 Weeks (Entirely too large and still more to grow!)
...and there are more photos to come, as my belly seems to be growing by the minute these days! 45 days left until THE BIG DAY!

Tuesday Checkup Update

I went in for my now weekly Tuesday checkup, and my blood pressure wasn't too horrible today. A bit lower than Friday's reading, but nothing to clap about. The good news is I lost 5 pounds since Friday, it's a miracle! Haha.

But seriously, the REAL good news is that I will be induced on June 15th as opposed to waiting until I reach full term on June 22nd. So... now we get to plan the baby's birthday party! A great excuse to eat birthday cake! :o) (For the pregnancy term-impaired, a baby is considered full term at 40 weeks; however, if the baby is born any time after 37 weeks he or she is still developed enough to also be considered full term. Anything before 37 weeks is considered premature. Long story short, my induction date is at 39 weeks, so he will be just fine!) I'm excited that we'll get to meet him a week earlier, plus that means one less week of bed rest for me, and who could possibly complain about that???

Keep checking back for updates!

Welcome!

Hello to all our friends and family, Jon and I have created this blog to keep everyone posted on the newest addition to our families in one convenient location!

Our little man is due on June 22nd, time is ticking closer and we can't wait til he is finally here!

I've been put on bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy, since my blood pressure readings have been high lately due to gestational hypertension and there are concerns that I may develop preeclampsia if things do not improve. Not to worry, baby is fine and healthy and breakdancing away inside my belly! It's just a precaution to keep us both safe.

Everything has been going well; Jon is away at Camp Lejeune for a big portion of his Riverine training and should be home in time for the birth. We moved into our house about a month ago and are working on getting the baby's room set up; pictures will be posted with the final product soon! It's very nice to no longer share walls with neighbors and have our own yard and driveway!

Keep checking back for more photos and updates as the big day gets closer!
